Salonnière explores our relationship with materiality as a vehicle for ritual and connection, while centering a reciprocal relationship with nature (and each other) and the role beauty plays in sustaining hope.
Our dinner with @forthecorpse operates at the intersection of food, materiality and a recontextualization of how we experience dining.
Our table is transformed into an immersive sculpture, intended to surprise and delight!

We are thrilled to announce our collaborative dinner with @sundaysuppers as part of their global dinner series, entitled Sobremesa. →
Sobremesa is about celebrating friends and community, and gathering around a table with great food. We will be hosting our dinner on 12/6/19 at Maison Bodega and tickets are on sale now ! A portion of the proceeds from each dinner will go to The Hunger Project — a global program that uses a holistic approach to make sustainable progress in overcoming hunger and poverty.
Field Experience #9 & #10→Fermentation Collaboration was led by Berlin-based artist Anaïs Hazo and Minneapolis-based artist Miriam Karraker at Maison Bodega.
The first event was a fermentation workshop led by Anaïs Hazo. We will learn how to transform the fall harvest into lacto-fermented vegetables and she will share philosophies around fermentation that are relevant to art practice.
The second event was an experimental fermentation tasting and writing workshop led by Miriam Karraker. We will taste fermented foods made by Anaïs and Miriam, and work through a series of writing exercises to explore taste through language.
As part of the collaboration, Anaïs and Miriam have been working on a written correspondence about fermentation and collaborative language. A zine will be shared with participants, then a 2nd edition will be completed based on the workshops.
